Pardon Ramos and Compean!

The old saying goes, “You can catch more flies with honey.” Hogwash! Right is right and wrong is wrong. It is just plain wrong that two of our former Border Control Agents have sat in jail the past 2 yrs for doing their jobs. They have 10 more years to sit there unless the President of our United States does the right thing by pardoning them. There’s only a few days left, so please fax, email, or call to demand these men be released. Sample letter below:

Dear President Bush,
You only have a few days left to serve as our U.S. President. I respectfully ask that you finally do the right thing by pardoning two former border agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. As you already know, they were convicted to 12 years in prison for shooting a supposedly unarmed drug smuggler in the buttocks while he was trying to escape. The men argued that they thought Osvaldo Aldrete Davila was armed. Davila, a Mexican drug smuggler who was later convicted in ANOTHER drug incident. In real life, what Mexican drug dealer is ever NOT armed???

I really have to question why these men were even arrested to begin with when they were doing their job? You ignoring that these men are wrongfully convicted brings a lot of questions to the minds of American people and further proves that your track record, as President, has been no less than shameful and destructive to the American citizens.

You may be one of the most powerful men on the earth for the moment, but you WILL have a Higher Being to answer to some day. I beg you to put, at the least, ONE favorable note to your legacy as President and clear your conscience on this matter as a man - pardon these men. Release them back to their families. You know it is the right thing to do.
